Radiance’s ECO CRYSTAL line is made from environmentally friendly fabric. The fibres are made in Italy from the castor bean plant, creating a 100% organic origin polyamide material. The resulting fabric offers multiple qualities such as softness, elasticity, comfort and quick drying properties.
100% BIO ORIGIN
+ The seeds of the Castor bean plant (Ricinus communis) are the base of the EVO® fibers that we use in our BIO CRYSTAL bikinis. The castor bean grows in semi-arid areas with little water.

+ Our bikinis are made in our small workshop in Barcelona. We mix craftsmanship and know-how, with innovative technology and materials to produce high quality products.
HIGH PERFORMANCE
+ The fabric made in Italy has excellent properties for a bikini. The resulting material is very soft and elastic, dries quickly and also offers anti-bacterial and odour control protection.
TECHNICAL DETAILS
Eco Crystal bikinis are made of EVO® fibres from the castor bean plant. They are ultra-light, super-elastic, dry quickly and have natural odour control properties. They guarantee maximum comfort and unique performance, while respecting nature.
Made from the castor bean (Ricinus communis), a plant normally grown in semi-arid regions of Asia, India or Brazil. The fibres are created from the oil extracted from its seeds.
In addition, the manufacturing process of the fabrics reduces at least -20% energy waste and uses -30% water compared to standard processes.
Photovoltaic systems are used in the production process with a consequent reduction in CO2 emissions about at least -15% impact on the atmosphere than normal polyamides.
The biopolymer that forms the basis of EVO® does not affect the human or animal food chain, unlike many other bioderived polymers.
Polyamide is obtained through the process of polymerization of two monomers. Most of the monomers are petroleum derivatives, but in this case the two monomers are of biological origin (from the castor plant).
+ EVO® is the new generation of a fibre that allows a 50% reduction in drying time compared to a 100% nylon fabric.
+ Our fibers have an intrinsic bacteriostatic capacity that helps to control the formation of bad odors.
+ The fabric is 25% lighter than the same product made of polyester and has the same opacity.
EVO® is certified by DIN CERTCO according to ASTM D 6866:2012-01 R.N° 8C096. The product EVO® is accredited according to the international study LCA – ISO 14040 and ISO 14044, and the certification OEKO-TEX STD 100 CLASS I.
